Cavalia, an and grand-scaled art circus directed by Normand Latourelle known as a co-founder
of the world famous “Circus of the Sun’ comes to Korea for the first time from November 5th.
Since its premiere in 2003, Cavalia has been a great success and highly acclaimed by critics
while drawing more than 4,000,000 audiences in 65 cities in the world, which includes those
of the USA, Germany, Belgium, Hollands, Spain, Mexico, Australia, UAE, and Singapore.

Particularly, this Korean tour will be one of the biggest performances in the world whose
production cost amounts to 10 billion KRW among its previous tour performances. A gigantic
white big top theater 2,400 square feet in width and 30 meters in height (equivalent to 10
story building) that can accommodate as many as 2,00 audiences and a special stage in 50
meters will be constructed in the Sports Complex in Jamsil exclusively dedicated for Cavalia
performances. To realize a perfect theater for the performance and a lake on the stage, 2,500
tons of sands, soil, and pebbles along with 120,000 liters of water have been consumed. Also,
as many as 350 pieces of customs are required for the thirty-three actors who will be
performing for two hours.

A fantastic horse-riding ballet performed by 49 horses along with 33 artists and acrobatics!

Cavalia, the greatest art circus on earth, will showcase not a mere stunt, but an arranged
performance sublimated into an artistic genre based on the sympathetic communication between
33 artists & acrobatics and 49 horses.

An important appeal of Cavalis comes from that audiences can appreciate the beauty of horses
in their good shapes. Various species of horses coming from all over the world will arrest
your eyes by showing off their shining mane and handsome hairs in upright and powerful postures.
In addition, a live performance played by a band consisting of vocal, guitar, base, drum, piano,
and cello will add a mysterious touch to the performance. Cavalia will make audiences fall
into a world of dreamlike fantasy through presenting a fantastic horse riding show with an
accompaniment of live performances and cutting-edge multi-media.

Jasmil のスポーツコンプレックスの中のテントシアターでした。
当日12万ウォンでサイドブロック2列目チケットを購入。
客席にはいったら、そのブロックには私たちいがい誰もおらず、、
スタッフがきてサブセンターの６列目に行きなさい、ということで
おかげでとても見やすい席となりました。

オープニングは白い馬が乗り手なしで走り回りました。
そして歌とハンドトゥーハンド（6人＊2組）
ハンドトゥーハンドは６人組が二組。
ハンドトゥーハンドはアフリカンなひとたちのようでした。
テントの半分を客席、半分を舞台に使っている形です。
半円形の舞台の中央にはテントを支える２本の柱があるのです。
舞台は半円形なので馬が走り回るのはそのかたち、下手から
はいって上手にぬけることが多かったようです。
オープニングが終わると裸馬が駆け巡ります、人が前後から
追うことできれいに走る経路を制御。
馬が速く走るだけでかっこいい！
テント支柱の前にフェンスをだして小さな円形の舞台をつくり、、
そのなかで曲乗りとか、その上へのジャンプとか、ハンドトゥー
ハンドも続いて手をかえ、品をかえといった感じ、７人が一人の
うえに組上がる組体操みたいなのが迫力。
円形舞台をぐるぐるまわる馬の騎手と、手をつないで引っ張られて
いくエアリアルストラップ、それを二組でシンクロして行い
時々馬が加速してキャストを外へへ放り投げる！
馬２頭を一人で操る馬車のような雰囲気の状況でレース！
バーなど障害物ありで、かなり高速でみていて手にあせ握りました。
気がつくと全面が池に！！水をばしゃばしゃ飛ばして走る馬。
そしてその水面でとんぼをきるひとたち。
馬大好きのひとたちのための番組でしたね。おなかいっぱい。
