最前列通路側だったので、目の前にキャストたちが上り下りする階段がありました。
開幕前に劇場係員がきて、目の前にキャストが座るからよろしくねと説明あり。
私に何か渡すらしいんですが、突然いわれてよく聞き取れずに（汗）、、、
どきどきしながらオープニングを待ちました。

オープニングは列車芝居の典型、駅の出発シーンから。4人組のアンサンブルの
連中がなかなかよい。2幕の冒頭でも同じように登場してました。
さて私の出演シーンｗは一幕前半にありました。ばあさんが張り紙テロをやって
いろんなところに張り紙をぺたぺた。私の目の前の階段に座ると私にその張り紙
を差し出しました。ああ、これを受け取ればいいのね！と理解、無難に役をこなせ
ましたよ。写真はその記念品の張り紙です。この後はゆっくり鑑賞できました。



この写真の右端のおばあさんが私に上の張り紙を渡しました。



さて物語は、車中で起こる事件をコミカルに描いています。ギャグがべた過ぎて、
ここは難波花月ですか？！と思うことしばし。でもそれのギャグを美声・美貌の
Kristin Chenowethがやるからいいんですよねー。本当に天賦の才能がある
コメディエンヌだと思います。ヒロインの相方は筋肉くん、びくんびくんｗ
Kristin　は下着姿もあり、かなりエロかったです。しかも最前列に座っている
わけで、表情よりも別のところに目が吸い寄せられていることが多かったのは
内緒。楽しい鉄道の旅とべたなコメディを味わえました。Kristin のファンなら
MUST SEEですね。

TONY賞ミュージカル作品賞受賞。

１幕もの、１０分おしではじまって２１時５０分まで。

久々のサークルインザスクエアシアター、満員立ち見です。

開演に遅れてしまうと自分の座席に座れないそうです。

舞台は真ん中の平場、セットが床からせり出してくるのです。

バンドは舞台の端にいました。

これ、肉声ミュージカルですか？最前列に座っていたので当人たちの声が

直接聞こえてきていました。

Fun というのはFuneral（葬儀）を略したもので、実は葬儀屋の家族の物語

なのです。当然ながら棺桶も登場、棺桶の中で遊んでるｗ

ヒロインが父との思い出を時間を前後しながら語っていく形になっています。

そしてチャプターごとにタイトルがついている！

ヒロインは幼、真ん中、現在と３人が演じています。その他はひとりずつ。

実は父親はカミングアウトしないゲイでした。娘もレスビアンであることを

自覚します。

父親は彼氏をうちに連れてきたり、子供が寝静まった頃に抜け出して行ったり

かなりやりたい放題。夫婦仲はまあもう、、

現在のヒロインが狂言回しをして舞台をすすめているのですが、終わり近くに

なってその彼女に父親が話しかけます。そしてドライブへ。もういろいろな行

き違いと心の交流を文学作品をメタファーに語り掛けているようです。ようで

す、というのは文学関係のところがどうもうまく聞き取れませんでした（涙）

エンディングは父娘が楽しかったころを描いて終了。

セクシュアリティに限らず、よじれてしまう父子の関係を一般的に描いている

のが受けている一因なのでしょう。この作品、ミュージカルの体裁をとってい

ますし、楽曲もなかなか良いのですが、物語の進行としてはストレートプレイ

よりの骨太さです。

原作は漫画で日本で翻訳が出ていることを後程しりました。読んでおけばよかったOrz

そして英語版原作漫画を劇場売店で買ったら、日本のアマゾンの方が英語版を

安く売っていたことがわかり２度がっくり。。円安がいかんのかー。ちなみに

CDは日本のほうが安いと思って買いませんでしたが思った通りだいぶ安かった

のです。

そして最後にヒロインと２ショット撮れました！

舞台の真ん中にピアノが一台おかれている状態から始まります。
オープニングはバレエ成分が極めて濃い長いダンスシーン。大作感がひしひしと伝わってきます。
その直後のアイゴッタリズムで盛り上がり、'S Wonderful でもう一段テンション高くなって
しまいました。そしてヒロインがかわいくてかっこいい！ヒロイン婚約相手がいい人のようで
ちょっとかわいそう。パトロンのおばさんはいろいろありそうw
ダンスにつぐダンスで、なにやら抽象画を見ているみたい。
そして劇中劇（というか劇中ダンスですな）がこれまた素晴らしい。ダンスてんこもりの大迫力！
劇中劇終了時にフィナーレかと思いましたよ。この振付はかなり好きです。
後半の盛り上がりは素晴らしく、美人なヒロインにたくましいイケメンのカップル。
美男美女のボーイミーツガールという古き良きミュージカルの王道のような作品でした

３人の水兵さんが２４時間の休暇をもらってニューヨークに遊びに出るという物語です。
緞帳には米国国旗、開幕前には米国国家斉唱、全員起立です。
オープニングはニューヨークニューヨーク、これでもうなんだか血が猛りますねw
ダンスと歌で楽しませて後になにも残らない娯楽大作、どこかの娯楽作家が書いたような。。
バッテリーパーク、自然史博物館、カーネギーホール、タクシーwとニューヨーク名所をめぐっ
て２４時間の前半で恋人をつくっちゃいます。太っちょタクシードライバーの彼女の迫力
たるやすさまじい。恐竜の骨が動いたのにもびっくり。
2幕は皆でデート。まあ24時間でいろいろあって船に帰っていくという、まるで男の夢の
ような物語。この作品も頭を空っぽにしてダンスと歌を楽しめる作品でした。

TONY賞 Best Musical ノミネート。
集客率はよくないというデータを見ていたのですが、1階席は満席、私よりも年上の観客ばかり。
なんだかぼろぼろの建物の中に貧乏な人たちが登場、災害によって困窮している町だそうです。
そしてそこに文字通り光り輝くヒロイン登場。この中の人が80歳越えているとは信じられません。
ヒロイン出ただけで場内拍手喝采。
再婚を重ねて大金持ちになったヒロインが、自分を捨てた最初の男に復讐するという話なのですが、
その手段が、市民全員を買収して法を買ってしまう、というもの。暗殺すればきっと1/10000くらいの
コストで済んでしまうでしょうｗ
貧乏な街のひとたちと富豪のヒロインの対比が著しい。ライティングもその差を増幅しています。
ライティングがノミネートされたのはわかる気がしました。もう話はとにかく荒唐無稽、それに
かなり美しい楽曲とヒロインの力、チタリベラ座長芝居で、チタリベラが神々しければあとは
なんでもよい！という意思がさわやかなくらい出ている舞台でした。最後は復讐を果たして棺桶に
入れて幕。
カーテンコールはチタリベラが出ると全員スタンディングオベーションとなりました。
なんか変な方向にすごい作品です。
これは日本キャストで上演は無理だろうなあ。杉村春子とか森光子でもいれば別でしょうが。。。
